Custom by Care was founded in 2021 by Caroline Murchie. What started as a pandemic project evolved into something greater.
With a background in marketing and a passion for sustainability, Caroline wanted to create something beautiful for your home that was more than a candle.
Initially a self-taught candle-maker, she now teaches candle-making workshops in hopes that people will begin to reuse the vessels that typically become waste.
Custom by Care provides luxury, sustainable candles in a vessel that is made to be reused. These concrete vessels are sent out with seed paper to encourage growing your own wild flowers once your candle is finished.
With every order a tree is planted and helps support our local forests in partnership with the LivClean Forestry Initiative. This collaborative effort helps plant and protect millions of trees across North America. These handmade candles are made from sustainable soy & coconut wax blend.
The fragrances used are paraben free, phthalate free, cruelty free, non-toxic and vegan.
Each box is sent using biodegradable packing peanuts that can be dissolved by running them under water.
